Department of Humanities & Applied Sciences
The department of Humanities & Applied Sciences is the basic department which has established in 1994. The department is leading under the guidance of Prof. S. S. Kore. The department is well equipped with Laboratories. The staff of the department is devoted and dedicated to shape and mould the students in different areas such as soft skills, communication skills, basic Engineering and Applied Sciences to be the best engineers of tomorrow to serve the society. The focus of H & AS department is to encourage the students to develop the breadth of knowledge so that they have familiarity with many important technical areas such as C, C++, Java, Basic Drawing, Language skills etc.
The department conducts STTP/ Workshops / Conferences on regular basis to enhance the knowledge of the teachers / academics to be effective in the field of education.
Laboratories:
Physics Lab: Physics lab provides modest experience that allows the student to develop and improve his/her experimental technique and to develop some ability to analyze data.
Language Lab: The language laboratory is an audio or audio-visual installation used as an aid in modern language teaching. Globalization has thrown open to engineering graduates unprecedented opportunities .In this highly competitive world one is required to possess soft skills in order to be successful at job interviews and in career. The institute has set up well equipped language lab with advance software to make our students competent in communication skills to be best professional in any field to serve the society.
BEE Lab: This lab equipped with various instrument which are measuring current, voltage, resistance, power for A.C. as well as D.C. It is handling various kits basic for electrical practicals. This subject also deal with the power system equipment like transformer, A.C./D.C., machine.
Chemistry Lab: Keeping in pace with recent developments in science and technology, engineering chemistry course is so designed that every student acquires a profound knowledge of fundamental chemistry. The course provides students with the concepts necessary to solve problems with regards to applications of materials in a variety of engineering disciplines. Nanotechnology, Green Chemistry, Polymer science, Tribology, etc are some of the exciting fields which connect with various engineering fields. Well-equipped chemistry laboratory houses recent and advanced instruments to cater the needs of first year engineering students.
Computer Programming Lab: The institute has well set computer lab with state-of -the –art infrastructure exclusive for FE students to perform programs by using C.,C++, JAVA programming languages. Internet facility is available on every system so students can update themselves about the Moodle software where they can find notes, syllabus, PPTs etc. updated by concern subject teachers.
Engineering Mechanics Lab: Engineering Mechanics deals with the physical state of rest or motion of bodies under the action of forces. The Engineering Mechanics lab helps student to understand the application of theory related to course by performing experiments and verifying results. Thus it helps to build the confidence of student in practical application of principle of machines in Engineering works.
